NCSS Notable Books
Each year, the National Council for the Social Studies Book Review Commitee reviews and selects Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People. These are recently publicated books of high literary merit that address topics of social studies such as human relations, diversity, or cultural experiences in a new light. The books below are from the 2015 list of Notable Books and each includes a summary as well as additional resources for teachers to use that match with geographic themes from the text.
