The Geo-Inquiry Process is a five step project-based movement that simultaneously allows students to explore the interconnectedness of their world while also developing their research and collaboration skills. As a class or in small groups, students will brainstorm about local issues in their community that they would like to address. Once an area of concern has been identified, the teacher will guide his/her students through the rest of the Geo-Inquiry Process. Students will collect information about their target concern, organize the information they have collected, create an action plan, and then share what they have found and what they would like to do. Each of these steps is made easier with an accompanying student resource packet with worksheets.
